Senior C++ Software Developer COMe PC (m/f/x) 1529

To strengthen our team in Duisburg, we are searching for a Senior Software Developer for our applications on a Kontron COMe PC. If you are professional in Linux, C++, multithreading, data transfer, high-speed interfaces, virtualization, we would be happy to receive your application!

For this position, we can only consider applicants who are already living in Germany, due to timely urgency.

• Work in an empowered development team developing SW for the market leading SoC testing solution
• Design and Develop SW that will make use of high speed interfaces (PCIe/USB)
• Design and Develop PC based applications (Kontron COMe) that will run on different OS platforms and in virtualized environments
• Analyze and debug issues using low level Linux kernel tools and HW debuggers like Lauterbach T32
• Understand customer requirements and deliver SW to a global customer base
• Work as part of engaged scrum teams in an agile environment
• Take ownership and responsibility for the developed SW

• Already living in Germany and able to relocate to Duisburg area
• Completed studies in the field of computer science or practical experience in a similar environment
• Strong programming skills in OO and C++
• 4+ years of professional experience in SW engineering
• Good understanding of High Speed (PCIe/USB) and Serial/Debug (JTAG/SWD/SPI/I2C) Protocols and PC architecture
• Good understanding of Linux kernel and virtualization. Understanding of containerization (e.g. docker or podman) will be a plus
• Good understanding of software design patterns, architecture and methodologies
• Understanding of UEFI/BIOS, DMA, MMIO etc. will be a plus
• Experience in applying agile software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Test Driven Development, etc.).
• You speak English fluently, German will be a plus
• You are innovative, creative and like to think outside the box
• You like to work in a global team, but at the same time, you have a high level of personal responsibility
