Senior Application and Database Specialist (m/f/x) 1509
You are strong in Application-, Database- and Linux administration, debugging, troubleshooting and support? We offer an interesting and challenging position in that field. You will be part of the Licensing Application Team of our customer, a global leader for automated test systems in the semiconductor industry.
Your responsibilities:
- Application Administration: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Flexera/Flexnet based Licensing application, including user access, configurations, and troubleshooting
- Application Optimization: Analyse and optimize the Linux Flexera-Application and its MS-SQL database
- Technical Support: Provide 2nd and 3rd level technical support and guidance to 1st level support team regarding application functionality and issue resolution
- System Maintenance: Ensure the application is up-to-date with the latest patches and updates. Collaborate with licensing solution vendor to implement system upgrades and enhancements
- Documentation and Training: Develop and maintain user manuals, training materials, and FAQs related to the Licensing application. Conduct training sessions for new users and refresher courses as needed.
- Monitoring and Alerts: Experience setting up and utilizing monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus) to track application uptime, performance metrics, and end-to-end process visibility for proactive issue detection and trigger alerts in case of system unavailability or performance degradation
Your profile:
- Academic: Bachelor’s or masters degree in computer science, Engineering, IT, or a related fields
- Technical Proficiency: Strong technical skills with experience in supporting enterprise applications running on Linux
- Professional background: Relevant experience in database analysis and optimization
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently and implement effective solutions
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to interact with diverse stakeholders including end-users, IT teams, and management
- Adaptability and Learning: Willingness and ability to quickly learn new technologies and processes. Adaptability to changing business needs and priorities
- Experience in Flexera/Flexnet manager is beneficial
